Spending too much money in Primark

PRIMARK HAUL

Spring is on the horizon, so instead of going home and saving my money, I took a trip to Primark after work and I bought a few lovely things for Spring especially Summer.

The dress was £13, it has an awesome, detailed flower print front & back, I bought this in a size 12, I tend to be between a 10 to 12 but everything here (clothes wise) is a size 12.

I bought two clutch bags due to the fact I couldn't decide on what colour I wanted, so I bought them both, a pastel coloured pink & yellow. I actually might return or exchange the yellow one because it has a mark on the front which I tried to wash off but apart from that the bags are perfect for a summer night out, the sizes are very reasonable, they allow you to carry everything that you'd need for a night out. They were £6 EACH OMG! <3

The flat sandals are just perfect, I am not too good in the shoe department based on the fact I can not always find my size & the type of shoe doesn't always cater to my feet needs! I saw these black & deep purple suede covered pointy flats and I love them so I bought them.

I bought a size 8 (I'm a size 7-1/2) so they are plenty big enough! They were £6 each!! Perfect!
I bought a few more things but they aren't as exciting so I will leave it at that! I will be blogging my S/S15 look book in the next month, so look out for that!

Everything I bought from Primark, is perfect for Spring & Summer and I am so impressed with Primark, they keep getting better and better, with the prints, how they style outfits and prices!

Every Woman Needs A Little Black Dress

What? two blog posts in a week! WOWZA! Hello guy, I am back, this time with something a lil different which I haven't done before and this is a date(ish) night look, I am not going on a date, I literally tried the dress on, heels and took some photos. Lets get into the post!

The dress I bought was from ASOS, I saw Jesy from Little mix where this dress and I instantly loved it, it cost £38 which personally I do think is quite expensive for what it is but I still love it, I bought a size 12 and it fits perfect! The dress has a gold metal plate across the chest which connects the shoulder and chest pieces together!

The waist is cut out, which adds a lil bit of sexiness, I like the level of skin they allow the dress to show because I don't want to feel on edge that I am showing too much skin, so I like how the dress has long sleeves so I know that I'm not dressed over the top.

I styled this dress with my new heels from Public Desire they were £29.99 and I love them, they are easy to walk to say their heels, these type of heels, I see everywhere, on trend at the moment, you have to tie the laces which I think adds a cool, quirky style to the outfit.

This dress is perfect for a night out or a date, very simple but you can style the dress up to look amazing!

ASOS/PHOTOSHOOT

Evening all! Once again I haven't blogged for a few months due to deadlines & work but I am back! This blog post is giving you an inside what I have been up to in College for my ASOS project, lets begin!

Firstly we were given a brief to choose our own Era (except the 50's) to create either a pair of trousers or a skirt. The era I chose was the 1960's AKA TWIGGY & BEE-HIVE ERA. I designed a mini skirt for SPRING/SUMMER 2015 this linked in with ASOS because we had to link it back to 'twenty something girl' which is ASOS's customer age range.

We were really lucky to have an ASOS stylist called Olivia ( Hi Olivia if your reading) to come to my College and basically talk about ASOS e.g. who their customer is, about the magazine, talking about the website, giving us facts & figures about ASOS and celebrity that they have featured on the front cover! *cough* Taylor Swift *squeals*! !

My lovely bright orange mini skirt was inspired by Mary Quant who was the designer of the mini skirt. I was also inspired by Jimi Hendrix when he wore a feathered collared jacket for a photo shoot, Jimi was an American guitarist in the 60's!

The 60's was all about short mini skirts, in this day & age my skirt could have been a few inches longer but like I said the 60's was all about having fun and showing different fashion styles and that included short mini skirts!

I got my colour scheme from a 60's print which I used colours, red, yellow and orange, I created my own print, using a sponge effect with dyes, it took sooo long to apply the dye to 2 metres of fabric but I love the print!
So I took all my inspirations and created this orange beauty! Mini skirts are probably my number 1 favourite clothing piece, you can dress them up and dress them down THEIR PERFECT! (scroll down further for pictures)
Moi in Milan

I was lucky enough to go to Milan with my fashion class, so I took the opportunity of taking my finished garment all way over there, I was like a mamma bear protecting her baby, I didn't want anything happening to my luggage with my skirt in it!!
To complete this project I did a photo-shoot, lets keep in mind that Milan was still in their winter but we were so lucky with the weather that day, so sunny & pretty warm for February, not everything went to plan with the photo-shoot schedule, I had to find a new model due to the original one dropping out last minute but Jess kindly said yes to model my skirt and we were on a role again!

There was this very polite man taking pictures of Jess WITHOUT HER PERMISSION!!
*eye roll* so I politely told him where to go, but a part from that weirdo, the photo-shoot was a blast and I am so pleased Jess was my model, here is her blog > JESS

I styled her hair in a bee-hive hair style which was the trend in the 60's, I also chose to cleverly style my skirt with my own ASOS orange satchel and a simple white vest top and do keep in mind that this is for SS/15 so I obviously didn't want to layer on layer Jess in clothes, I had to be particle on what she would tend to wear in summer.

I know ASOS don't tend to style their models in heels and all that glamour OTT skin on show style of look, but due to the season I am designing for and basically we had to use what we had at the time because we were on a trip so we  didn't have all the resources like we would back at home but I do think I have pulled of a really good styled look, I have also put some images of Jess in flat shoes just to give it more of a day look.
