Bow meets tartan

This is my 2nd blog post of 2015, I hope you're all doing well & having an amazing start to 2015. This post contains what outfit I wore on the 20th January 2015! Nothing particularly special happened that day, except college, but I really liked styling this outfit so I thought I snap a blog post up.

This outfit is very classical, school girl kind of look, styling my bow shirt with my tartan skirt together, I wore some black tights because it is so chilly outside. When applying my make-up I unfortunately dropped my concealer stick, which landed on my shirt, sleeve & bow *sad face emoji* I soaked the area in soap, I covered up the shirt with the bow in this photo so all is well.

The shirt was £10 from H&M, the tag did say £19.99 but when I got to the till, it was £10 so I happily surprised with that! I really love the bow piece, it comes including with the shirt, sewed together at the back, I do not need to accessorize the shirt because the bow does all the work for me!

The skirt is from ASDA (George) I bought this around 1 year ago & I have worn it so much, personally I think tartan will never go out of fashion, it is one of those good fashion pieces that I will always wear, you can dress it up or dress it down. I can not remember the price of the skirt but it wont be too expensive due to where I bought it from! I wore my good old Chelsea Boots from River Island that cost £60 I think!

With this outfit I wore my Henry Holland green coat, which I haven't worn all year (including last year), many of you will not know but I am a huge fan of Holland, I really love his designs & the garments that he creates, the coat that I got for my 17th Birthday was £80 I think, but with all these discounts Debenhams have, we got a % of the final price, so I think it came to about £60+. The coat is a real classic, for me the sleeves could be a little bit longer, I bought a size 12. The coat is real sophisticated style and I will be wearing it for a few more years to come!

My make up, included Bobbi Brown eye shadow pallet, I haven't taken any photos of my products, but I am sure to do a post soon about my make up. I used L'Oreal true match foundation, applied with my Real Technique stippling brush?
Is that the right brush, there are so many I can not remember all of there names. My make up looks so much more blended together when using a brush, so I advise you if you are looking for a blend-able brush that is a good one!

I wore my ted baker lipstick rouge red as you have all guessed, I love a good lippy plus the lipstick matches my skirt colour! I am still practising with my eye shadows, so I am not the best at blending or even applying shadows at the moment except light colours, but practise makes perfect!

Thanks for reading everybody!
 I will be back. X

Leopard wearing skirt

GUESS WHO'S BAAAACK! I apologize for the lack of blogging that I have been doing last post was in October but it strangely only seems like yesterday I was typing my autumn favourites, I hope you all have had an amazing Christmas & New Year plus an amazing 2014. I do not know where 2014 went to, the days just seemed to fly by and now we're in 2015!!

This post is excitingly about one of my favourite wardrobe pieces this year and it is the Cara Delevingne skirt, that was apart of her Topshop collection. I have been wanting this beaut of a skirt for absolute months because it is one of those skirts that with the right colour of top, you can stand out from the crowd.

Unfortunately for me when this skirt first came out it sold out everywhere & really quickly due to the popularity of Cara, so I couldn't get it for a few months but when I went to Meadowhall Topshop I spotted it, tried it on and bought it. I bought a 12 but I could have done with a size 10 due to the size of my waist, but the size 12 is a good size for everything else, the length is appropriate too, not too short that I feel self conscious but not too long that my legs look stumpy with my boots (if that makes sense).

The skirt came to £38, but with a £20 voucher I had & student discount (not too sure what the amount is, think it is 10%) the skirt came to £14.20! I noticed that I had another voucher as well from a few months ago * annoyed eye rolls* but £14 is a pretty good price.

IM CRINGING AT THE CLOTHE HANGERS I USED FOR THESE PHOTOS!

What I styled with this skirt was my TKmaxx mesh material top, the top adds a lot more grunchy, rock effect, very 90's style but with the 60's style of mini skirt, it is a clash of the decade. I do wear one of my good old black coloured vests due to the amount of skin the mesh material shows off, so I do feel much more comfortable wearing one, plus its chilly outside!!

If you're not as confident to wear a top such as that, a turtle neck type of top would go really well with this skirt. Topshop at the moment have a black turtle neck top which is £34 (probably can get one much cheaper somewhere else) but that is an ideal top to wear with this skirt.

I would pair this outfit with some Chelsea boots or maybe some knee length boots which again is very 60's, I personally have worn some boots which were from Riverisland on sale for £25 from £75! (no picture)

I will be back to blog soon. x
