How to dress up khaki

Styling up a khaki playsuit for this Spring season we're currently in.
The day it was raining off and on, the wind was ridiculously loud and my heel got stuck in mud, luxury life of being a blogger..

Styling this Primark(can you believe it?) playsuit with my black lace up heels, which adds a dramatic effect to the plain playsuit and my black bow with gold strap clutch bag.

The playsuit is quite figure hugging, I was debating whether to buy a size 10 but I went for a size 12, so it was a lot more looser around the hips! I'm one of those ladies that are a size 8 on shoulders, size 10 on the waist and size 12 on hips and thighs!!

I also added my black leather jacket to add a grungy effect which overall just finishes off the outfit and is something that is essential in this cold weather we are currently having.

Playsuit- Primark £10
Jacket- Primark
Heels- Public Desire
Earrings-Topshop
Watch- Marks & Spencers
Clutch bag- Coast

How I Get Through A Bad Day

I was really inspired by Tanya Burr's recent blog post about how you can get through a bad day and different ways (little or big) you can help yourself. Taking care of your mind & body is personally one of the hardest things to maintain in life because there is so much shit, negativity and self doubt that happens in your life, so I always try to find the positive in a situation (or person) that I'm involved with.

This is what I do if I am having an off day..

Write a list about what you're excited for in the year (and life).
I wouldn't say I try to plan my life to exact, but writing a list about all the things I'm looking forward to, this could be something small like having a girly night out or something bigger such as going on holiday or getting your degree. This keeps my mind on the positives that are going to happen in my life.

Meeting up with your best friend.
This is hands down one of the best things to do when I am having a bad day or not feeling myself. Talking to my best friends while having a coffee,I instantly feel happier and full of life again. We talk about the old times, hilarious moments that have happened to us.

Exercise.
I always go on a speed walk which makes me feel physically and mentally better, I want to try jogging but feeling quite self conscious but maybe one day!

Watch funny videos.
I never would have thought Youtube or You've Been Framed made me happy, but honestly simply watching a video of someone doing something dumb on Youtube makes me a whole lot happier and sometimes to the point where I'm in tears.

Get a good nights sleep.
How are you supposed to be your normal happy self if you have had 2 hours kip? Let your body and mind refresh, they say at least 8 hours each night. You will feel fresh as a daisy the next morning!

Quit social media (for a bit or forever)
This is something I have used in the past especially around the approach of deadlines but delete your social media accounts, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, delete it. Stop glaring at your boyfriends ex's profile picture, nothing good will come from it apart from spitefulness. Your eyes don't need to be facing a bright screen all day, put it down and do something in the real World.

Listen to music.
My favourite songs are Riptide by Vance Joy, it as for years, every time I hear that song, my mood instantly improves. It is a real gentle, peaceful song. Im really loving Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake, its a really cheerful and up beat song, that you can just dance and sing to.

Jess Glynne is the woman of the moment especially when she sings Don't Be So Hard On yourself, which sends out a good message about not been hard on yourself in a dark place in your life, pick your self up, you're worth so much more. I'm loving Keeping Your Head Up by Birdy.

Book a day off.
This is something that not everyone can do but simply booking a day off work, knowing I don't have to get up at 6:30am on a Saturday, lifts my mood and the fact I can lay in bed and go shopping and have time to myself, simple but effective.

Remember everything happens for a reason, where there is a bad cloud there's a rainbow just around the corner!

Simple but sensual date or girly night look

Something quite different, never ventured down this avenue before in my blog ladies/gents but it I feel confident enough to pull it off. Are you wanting to find that perfect sex appeal outfit but still classy? I think I've found it.

When your scouting down the New York Topshop sale pieces and you come across something you can not make your mind off, you know you have to purchase it. Going out for date night with your man or a girly night out, this outfit is perfect for both!

I have paired this black jumpsuit/culottes trouser with my gold platform heels also from Topshop, adding gold to the black colour scheme I have going off separates all the colours especially with my red lip. With my bow clutch bag from Coast (which was a present so I don't know the price!) The outfit just comes together really nicely, I am showing quite a lot of skin but personally if you have the confidence to pull it off, why not?

I naturally have a big chest so I find it really difficult to find dresses and tops that I can wear without a bra but LUCKLY with this dress, I somehow get away with it and I let the beasts free for the night (just be cautious over too much cleavage)

These are my heels that I chose to wear for the styled look, they cost £49 but I paid £36, they are called Sienna Peep-Toe Platforms. I think because of the black Friday deals that were on when I purchased them, they were much cheaper but clearly the discounts have ended. These are just a simple peep toed platform, very comfy to wear and walk in!

                                                Platforms
Jumpsuit- Because mine was from NYC in the sale, I can not find it on the website, but here are some alternatives.

Living life to the fullest, first stop.. New York

Evening all, I hope 2016 is treating you kindly. My new Years resolution is to learn how to live my life was to the fullest because 2015 (mid May to December) I was hung up on people that made me question myself and what I was like as a person but this Year I am wanting to try and change that by not trying to get 'attached' with new people that I meet (AKA guys that cruelly lead me on) and learn how to walk away from them.

On with me living life to the fullest this Year I definitely want to travel a lot more, starting with New York that I have just come home from. The trip was absolutely amazing, even though the City in general is mad crazy, you definitely do not have time to stand there and think, its a very vast place and people are correct when they say its a "City that never sleeps".

We travelled from Manchester to JFK airport on a 9 hour flight, I am not the best flyer to be fair due to a childhood of flight sickness but on this flight I was perfectly fine, except the experience of neck cramp and the occasional gag because of the food on the plane.
The hotel that we stayed in, I personally found really enjoyable (due to the fact that the TV had the E channel) we stayed at the Pennsylvanian Hotel opposite the Madison Square Gardens, it was around the corner from all the shops, e.g. Macy's, Forever 21, Victoria Secrets and Sephora (holy grail of make up).

Times Square is absolutely amazing at night, the atmosphere with all the New Yorkers is amazing, there is a real buzz in the air when the lights are glowing right in front you and with all the music.

I can officially say trying to track down a taxi is not as easy as it looks like in the movies, you know when they whistle and a taxi sweeps in..? It is not like that, take it from me, there are thousands but we could only get one.

If you have any questions about my NYC you can just simply ask

Central Park

New jumpsuit from Topshop!

Fairy-tale Museum
This is one my favourite museums I have ever been to and I am not much of a walking around a building type of girl but obviously been fashion, I was really interested. The costumes were inspired around fairy tales, such as Alice and the Wonderland, Snow-white, The Wizard of Oz and many more tales.
This is my favourite garment out of the whole museum

Leeds via meeting Zoella

Ever heard of Zoella aka one of the most popular, powerfulest Youtubers out there, well do you? When your best friends pops up the question whether you'd like to meet her at her book signing in Leeds, I of course didn't decline the offer, so its official we were meeting Zoella in Leeds!

I must say the signing was very organised think this might be due to how popular she is, or the fact that we got their quite early due to the silly train times and when the signing started!

I don't know a great deal about Zoella (Zoe is her actual name if you didnt already guess that) but I have watched a few of her videos from time to time, she's a real positive bubble type of girl, she was so smiley and talkative just like her videos, she was really down to earth and personally this is why she has the following she has right now.

I spoke to her for a few minutes, she asked me what I was doing today, thank you for coming today, basically just having a quick converstaion when she signed the book.

We couldn't actually have a photo with Zoe, not sure why but maybe because of the demand from how many fans were there, who knows..

I feel like I am lucky to have met Zoe because I know (and everyone else) that she has milllllions of fans, literally all around the world and there's me that just hopped onto a train and met her.
